The Call for Projects of the Human-Wildlife Initiative (IHF) is open until October 16, 2025!


About the Call for Projects

The Human-Wildlife Initiative (IHF) supports innovative and concrete proposals to improve coexistence between wildlife and human activities.

It is open across only the entire metropolitan French territory. Projects need to start the first trimester of 2026.

Two application dossiers are available:

- DC1: for projects of 1 year with a budget up to €15,000

- DC2 + Budget Table: for projects of 2 and 3 years with a budget up to €50,000. DC2 Projects are expected to have 40% co-financing.

Eligible areas of work:

Projects can address coexistence challenges with species such as wolves, bears, lynx, deer, wild boar, chamois, mouflon, ibex, foxes, golden jackals, beavers, otters, and birds of prey.

> Agriculture: adapting practices to protect livestock and crops, supporting pilot projects, sharing effective strategies, and fostering collaboration.

> Ecological corridors: identifying and maintaining wildlife corridors, reducing fragmentation, and integrating corridors into land-use planning.

> Outdoor sports: promoting compatibility between nature sports and wildlife conservation through adapted practices and awareness-raising.

> Awareness & education: developing campaigns, workshops, demonstrations, and expert conferences to foster knowledge and acceptance of coexistence measures.


The Initiative encourages collaboration among farmers, landowners, local authorities, researchers, conservationists, and community organizations to develop solutions that can be shared, scaled up, and replicated across regions.


The completed application form and correctly filled-in budget table must be submitted by October 16, 2025 to the following email address: ihf@fpa2.org
