Description
The project led by the Association FERUS aims to raise awareness about the role of guard dogs protecting herds from potential wolf attacks. The aim is to reduce conflicts concerning guard dogs by encouraging mountain users to adopt appropriate conduct toward the dogs in order to avoid aggressive behaviour. Indeed, conflicts and their consequences for farmers can dissuade the use of guard dogs with herds. However, in many cases, the presence of these dogs can play an important role in preventing predation by wolves, promoting peaceful coexistence with the predator.
